Kathleen Murphy, PT, DPT
Kathleen Murphy, PT, DPT is the clinic director of Poplar Grove Physical Therapy. She graduated from Marquette University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in both Human Biology and Spanish and in 2008 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Kathleen began her physical therapy career in a hospital setting providing care for patients with a vast array of impairments, including orthopedic, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, psychological, as well as patients in the ICU. In 2009, she chose to switch gears and place her emphasis in outpatient orthopedics at which time she joined the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute. Prior to treating patients and overseeing daily clinic operations at Poplar Grove Physical Therapy, Kathleen was on staff at the network's Marengo Physical Therapy clinic.
Kathleen treats orthopedic, sports, and industrial injuries. She is a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Kathleen particularly enjoys sports and orthopedics rehabilitation as she was once a patient herself after a sports-related injury during high school. In her free time, Kathleen enjoys running and swimming. Kathleen is a native of Caledonia, IL and is excited to be able to continue her physical therapy career in Poplar Grove serving the community in which she grew up.

I strive to provide passionate care and let patients know that they are important to and that when they walk through the doors of my clinic that they will be treated as a whole person."
Christine Tabb, PT, DPT
Christine Tabb PT, DPT graduated from Bradley University in 2012 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She obtained her clinical experience through a variety of treatment settings, including acute care, aquatics, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Christine also traveled to the Dominican Republic during graduate school to assist a local physical therapy clinic in treating patients with an array of neurological and orthopedic disorders. After working in a variety of clinical settings, she ultimately chose to pursue her first passion, sports and orthopedics. With this as her focus, Christine will continue to refine her skills in the orthopedic setting.
Christine was born in Panorama City, CA, but grew up in the Rockford area. She received her bachelor's degree in Health Science from Bradley University in 2009. She continues to enhance her clinical skills through ongoing continuing education in the area of sports and orthopedics. Christine practices at both Belvidere Physical Therapy and Poplar Grove Physical Therapy, providing physical therapy services to residents of the Boone County area.
