Feature Friday- Get to Know Gina Huth, PT, DPT of Roscoe Physical Therapy

Gina Huth, PT, DPTThis week we are happy to feature Gina Huth, PT, DPT of our Roscoe Physical Therapy clinic. We sat down this week with Gina to learn a little more about her.

Tell everyone a little bit about yourself.

My name is Gina Huth, PT, DPT and I am a therapist at our Roscoe Physical Therapy clinic.  I am one of the newer therapists here at OSTI; I started with the organization almost a year ago this October.

I received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and completed my undergraduate degree at Iowa State University.

My husband and I relocated to the area last year and currently reside in Machesney Park with our puppy Maya.

What inspired you to become a physical therapist?

The joy in a person's voice and in their face when they say they can do something they were not able to do.

Do you have any upcoming personal or professional milestones?

Yes, professionally.  I am currently working on vestibular rehabilitation training.

What is the best part of job?  What is the most difficult?

The best part of my job is working with my patients and my colleagues.

The most difficult would be the amount of paperwork.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?

Outside of work I enjoy photography, reading, listening to all kinds of music and watching sports.  Since moving to the area, my husband and I have had a lot of fun trying "new to us" restaurants and attending events in the Rockford area.

What is something that people are surprised to learn about you?

I can skateboard and I used to play the drums.

What is your motto in life?

Nothing is impossible, the word impossible says, "I'm possible." -Audrey Hepburn
