OSTI Expands Occupational Medicine Business Out-of-State for Current Client

OSTI's Occupational Medicine Division announced today the expansion of their business to include work in York, Pennsylvania and Kansas City, Missouri for Syncreon, an organization that specializes in supply chain optimization.  OSTI currently provides work injury prevention programs for the organization’s Belvidere, Illinois plant.

Syncreon has been utilizing OSTI’s occupational medicine services since 2014.  OSTI has been providing the Belvidere location with WorkSTEPS Testing (a testing model that benefits employers by matching the physical capabilities of an employee to the physical demand levels of a specific job) along with work injury prevention programs that include: ergonomic analysis, job description creation, on-site job coaching and wellness programs.  Since the implementation of these programs, Syncreon has experienced a reduction in lost time, workplace injuries, workers’ compensation costs and their DART rate.

Kevin Camden, PT, OCSRandy Wright, ATC, MSKevin Camden, PT, OCS and Randy Wright, ATC, MS of OSTI’s Occupational Medicine Division traveled to both the York, Pennsylvania and Kansas City, Missouri plants to begin the implementation of the same services that the Belvidere plant utilizes. While there the duo completed job descriptions for all plant positions, setup job specific tasks for WorkSTEPS testing and identified particular jobsite modifications that would help reduce repetitive strain injuries that were implemented prior to their departure.

With work injury programs now in place in Syncreon’s York and Kansas City plants, OSTI will support the plant remotely and through on-site visits.

For over a decade, OSTI’s Occupational Medicine Division has been providing injury prevention programs to companies throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin to help companies achieve reductions in workplace injuries and associated costs.  OSTI works directly with each company client to tailor programs that will meet their specific occupational health needs.
